Valerie has continued to create sculptural ceramics since attaining a Fine Art Diploma in Sculpture, at Winchester School of Art. She likes to portray her impressions of the natural world as well as producing thrown bowls with original embellishment, and a series of amusing, decorative stylised torsos such as those named ‘G string’ and ‘D.J.’  Having grown up on the south coast, Valerie appreciates the wonder and power of the sea; and this influence can be seen in her ‘Wave Bowls’.
